- 15:00 — Collect yatra slip (parchi) · Carry ID for every traveller
- 17:30 — Start the trek from Banganga · Deposit bags in the cloakroom first
Day 2 · Darshan and Bhairon Ghati
- 05:00 — Bhawan darshan · Queue numbers are given at the entry gate
- 09:00 — Bhairon Ghati · 2.5 km above the Bhawan; ropeway available
- 16:00 — Return to Katra and rest
Day 3 · Departure
- 08:00 — Breakfast and check out
- 10:00 — Leave for Jammu station or airport · Keep 3 hours buffer for trains

Good to know

Yatra slip (parchi) is free and mandatory — collect it at the Katra registration counter or book online before you start.
Helicopter tickets from Katra to Sanjichhat open a set number of days ahead and sell out fast; book as early as you can.
Pony, palki and porter rates are fixed by the shrine board — agree on the printed rate before starting.
Elders and children should start the trek after 4 pm or early morning to avoid the heat.
Cloakrooms at Banganga take bags; leather items, phones with cameras and food are restricted near the Bhawan.
